Privacy and Cookie Policy

In short

• There are no forms, membership applications or sign-up areas on this site.
• No advertising, analytics or social media tracking code is used.
• No cookies are set. Only your theme preference is stored, in your own browser.
• Every file, fonts included, is served from our own server.

Data controller

The data controller under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is the TU:KUE Society (TU:KUE Derneği). For any question or request about this policy, write to iletisim@tu-kue.com.

Data we process

Server logs

The site is hosted on infrastructure provided by Vercel Inc. When you visit, technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page you request and the time of your visit may be kept briefly in the hosting provider's server logs so that the site runs securely and reliably. These logs are not used to identify you or to build a profile.

Email correspondence

If you email us, your name, email address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you and to deal with your request. They are never used for marketing, sold or shared with third parties.

TU:KUE does not accept membership applications, so please do not send us a CV or personal details with the intention of applying.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not use cookies. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored only in your browser's local storage, under the key tk-mode. It is never sent to our server, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Third parties

No third-party fonts, scripts, advertising or tracking services are loaded on this site. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc., whose servers may be located outside Türkiye, so server logs may be processed abroad.

External links on the site, such as the Wikipedia links in our sources sections, are subject to their own privacy policies.

Retention

Server logs are kept only for the short periods set by the hosting provider. Email correspondence is deleted within a reasonable time once your request has been dealt with, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may apply to the data controller to:

• Find out whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it.
• Learn the purpose of the processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose.
• Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom the data has been transferred.
• Ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected.
• Ask for the data to be erased or destroyed under the conditions set out in the law.
• Ask for third parties who received the data to be notified of any correction, erasure or destruction.
• Object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis of the data.
• Claim compensation if you suffer damage because the data was processed unlawfully.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights granted by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Send any request about your rights to iletisim@tu-kue.com. Requests are answered as soon as possible, free of charge, and within thirty days at the latest.

If your request is refused, if you find the answer insufficient or if you receive no answer in time, you may lodge a complaint with Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Board.

We may update this policy when needed. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of its last update.
